In Barkitecture, teams receive a set of tools and construction materials. Their challenge is to manage time and resources efficiently as they design and build an original dog house. Along the way, teams participate in fun mini-competitions to earn bonus items, such as paint, patios, or other decorative features.
Once all dog houses are completed, they are showcased for judging. Awards might be given for categories such as ‘most creative dog house’ or ‘best team collaboration’. The finished dog houses are often donated to local animal shelters or other charitable organisations.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Teams need to assess each member’s strengths and apply project management strategies to ensure the design, decoration, planning, and building are completed on time and within the set resource limits. As participants tackle tasks beyond their usual roles, creativity and collaboration are sparked. Barkitecture offers a powerful way to boost motivation and engagement through a fun, meaningful, and memorable shared experience that gives back.
CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY OUTCOMES
The dog houses can be given away to dog adoption agencies or, can be auctioned with the proceeds going to an animal shelter.
