Peak Performance Online is a remote team building activity where teams lead their guides to the summit of Everest and safely back to Base Camp on a 20-day expedition. Participants work by videoconference and work in groups in breakout rooms. Each team member is responsible for a specific role and related knowledge. They decide how they will move each day and enter it into the game console. There are many factors to consider, including changing weather and terrain conditions. Teams must make collaborative decisions based on oxygen demand, acclimatization, pitching, and more. The team with the most points at the end of the game is the winner.
Peak Performance is an emotionally engaging experiential learning tool designed to transform people's understanding, attitudes, and soft skills for working in remote teams. Participants learn to work remotely as a team through the use of an engaging topic and links appropriate to their professional environment. After the experience, the participants used reflective observation to determine what happened in the process, their decisions, and their consequences. Participants can make effective behaviour change by understanding and accepting the effects of their choices.
