Chain Reaction is fast becoming the ultimate team building event requiring proficient project management skills to design and build an intricate sequence of reactions. These ultimately lead to an exciting finale where all the creations are joined together to achieve a spectacular common goal.
Use this challenging team building activity to develop excellent teamwork and project management skills while stimulating creativity and innovation.
Chain Reaction emulates a real life project as teams are constrained by limited time and resources. Drawing on their problem solving, creativity and communication skills teams must work together effectively in the design phase to create a realistic scope. Will ambition overtake ability?
Unity through division!
Team dynamics and human resource management are put to the test in the planning phase as the design is divided into small segments, requiring both human and physical resources to be divided into smaller working groups. The build and testing phases require co-ordination not only between teams, but between distinct technical skills and project management strategies as the teams face their ultimate challenge – does each component function and does it connect with the next to create a cascading series of cause and effect?
Once completed the first team sets off their Chain Reaction, which in turn triggers the next team's creation, and so on until a giant Chain Reaction has been completed around the room.
You can choose to add a competitive element where teams are awarded points based on innovation and function resulting in a winning team.
A highlight video of your Chain Reaction can be viewed with collegues, friends and family as a reminder of the event enjoyment and collaborative company success.
The Chain Reaction teambuilding event uses recycled materials to minimise any environmental impact.
Efficient use of resources can highlight areas in your own company where improvements can be made.

"The Pike Street Fish Market video put the whole day in perspective and I think the day would have fallen flat without the references to what we had seen. It brought the team building element to the fore without the delegates even realizing it!"
