In Chinese culture, the dragon dance is a traditional performance most often seen in festive celebrations. Dragons are believed to bring good luck and symbolise great power, dignity, fertility, wisdom and auspiciousness.

Dragon Squad gives your teams the opportunity to work together to achieve great things. The activity offers many challenges to any group. In addition to the construction part of the exercise, teams overcome problem-solving elements, network on many levels and express themselves creatively.

The multi-faceted finale includes, drumming, cymbal play and choreography. Whether you are involved in constructing the head or nominated for the multi team design group, the process of inter-dependant teamwork is key.  Each dragon can only be finished by every team member completing their allocated tasks.

Each team then performs a dragon dance with their uniquely created dragon. Teams are awarded points based on their creativity and performance and a winning team is celebrated along with the success of the whole group. The dragon heads can be taken back to the workplace as a reminder of collaborative company success.

Adventurous groups might like to take their creations out in public and perform to earn money for their chosen charity.
